Falz and Mr. Macaroni were part of the celebrities that joined a protest organized by Runtown to call for the scrapping of the Nigerian Police’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS)  in Lagos yesterday.

Falz, took to his twitter page to announce the beginning of the peaceful protest on Thursday morning. “Tomorrow morning we move out for the #ENDSARSProtest!  we are not out to cause trouble, but our voices must be heard.”

Runtown had initiated the idea of the protest on his Twitter page on October 4, after a social media campaign to end SARS went viral with Nigerians calling for the abolition of SARS.

Tiwa Savage, Rudeboy, Bolanle Ninalowo, PocoLee, Blacqbonez, Pamilerin, BBNaija Prince, Jaywon, Dremo, Wurld, Dj Spinall, BBNaija Tacha and other celebrities also joined the protest.

Meanwhile, Mr. Macaroni, and other Lagosians also protesting police brutality in the country, spent their night outside the Lagos State House of Assembly yesterday.

Mr. Macaroni and the other protesters have been updating the public from the outside of the Lagos House of Assembly with tweets and videos.

This morning, FK Abudu raised almost one million Naira in five hours to feed the protesters who slept outside overnight.
