Denmark put up a resilient showing against France to frustrate their efforts and ensure their passage into the round of 16 as well.
With the exception of Antoine Griezmann, who is having a slow start at the tournament, Kylian Mbappe and Pogba all had key chances that would have broken the deadlock but it proved fruitless with Kasper Schmeichel in goal for the Danish side.
The Danish side also had few chances of their own through Delaney and Christian Eriksen but they were more satisfied with keeping the Les Blues at bay to end the match in a draw.
They will likely face Argentina in the round of 16.
In the second game, Australia couldn’t conjure up a spirited performance as an Andre Carrillo goal and a Paolo Guerrero goal scored in each half gave Peru a 2-0 win to go home with pride.
The Socceroos had their chances through Behich and Tim Cahill who came later on in the second half, however, it could not change the scoreline till full time.
