A Samuel Umtiti header in the second half was all France needed to qualify at the final of the Russia 2018 World Cup after they defeated Belgium 1-0 last night.
Both teams had their own fair share of chances in the first half including a shot from Blaise Matuidi from France and Eden Hazard from Belgium but were thwarted by the two goalkeepers who were having a good day.
A corner from Antoine Griezmann was then converted by Umtiti to send the whole French fans both in the stadium and in Paris in a wild celebration.
This will be the third time France will be reaching a final of a World Cup since they last won it in 1998 when they defeated Brazil. They also reached the final in 2006 but lost to Italy on penalties which was also marred by the famous Zidane headbutt.
The next semi-final game will come up this night between Croatia and England.
