After their calamitous exit from the World Cup yesterday, midfielder Mesut Ozil was at logger heads with some furious German fans.
Ozil has been accused by some section of the German fans for his lackluster performance for the team as the two matches he started had all ended with loses, first against Mexico where they lost 1-0 and their 2-0 loss to South Korea.
Germany needed to beat South Korea to stand any chance of qualifying but find themselves on the losing side as they pushed themselves forward including keeper Manuel Neuer with Sweden already winning Mexico.
Ozil had to be restrained by one of the backroom staff as the fans vented their anger at him and the team on their way out of the stadium.
This was the first time Germany were eliminated at the group stage since France 1938.
