Head coach of the Panama national football team, Hernan Dario Gomez has resigned after he led the country to its first World Cup.
Panama didn’t have the best performance even though it was their first appearance, as they finished bottom of Group G, losing to Belgium (3-0), England (6-1) and Tunisia (2-1) with their heaviest defeat coming from England.
The small pacific nation Panama conceded 11 goals while scoring just two in matches against Belgium, England and Tunisia.
Gomez, meanwhile is set to be announced as Ecuador’s new manager for the second time having led the country to the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan.
