Sauce Kid aka Sinzu has finally been freed after serving 2 years jail term in a Federal United States Prison.
The talented rapper was arrested for perpetrating an identity theft crime in 2016.
He was accused of using automated system to change credit card PINs to steal money from the unsuspecting victims estimated at $15,388 and purchasing merchandises.
Over the weekend, a video with the caption “My bro is back!! SINZU” surfaced online indicating he’s now free from his convicted crime.
Davido also took his Twitter page to confirm the news of Sauce Kid’s release, he wrote “Welcome home sinzuuuuuuuuu.”
The rapper whose real name is Babalola Falemi made his debut entry into the Nigerian music industry in 2005, long before M.I Abaga came with the Hip-Hop renaissance in 2008.
He gave Nigerians a feel of his musical dexterity by releasing the well acclaimed single then, titled “Omoge” featuring the legendary Mike Okri.
Later in 2006, he released his first mixtape dubbed “Best of Both Worlds: Money Long – The Mixtape” to further cement his space in the industry. The lead single from the mixtape was the popular “Yebariba”, a cover of Remy Ma’s “Conceited”, which became everyone’s favorite anthem and recorded massive success.
Sinzu undoubtedly one of Nigeria’s prolific rappers and pop act also has to his credit hit songs like “Carolina” featuring Davido.
Here’s what we think Sinzu should do now that he’s out of jail – release a major EP about life in prison and how he has changed. We’ll keep an eye out for that.
