For some people, taking care of themselves is a bit complicated because of their schedule. Unknown to these individuals, they are putting their health at risk. Not taking conscious efforts to take care of yourself on a daily is simply dangerous to your health. Discover simple and easy ways to take care of yourself daily:

Sleep more

The over flogged statement is that you have to sleep for 7 or 8 hours every day. This is a farce because a majority of us do not. There are too many distractions that prevent us from sleeping properly and number one is the mobile phone. The truth is sleep makes a huge difference in our health. It reduces our risk of heart disease and high blood pressure.

Keep a journal

Take out a few minutes to write your thoughts, worries or whatever that bothers you. It should not be all negative though. Importantly, keep the journal near your bed and make a habit of writing a few paragraphs or even sentences every night before you nap.

Stand more

Sitting for too long is not very good for your health. If this is the case, the key parts of your body like bone, brain, and muscle will be affected. So, quit the habit of not taking breaks especially when you are absorbed by work.

Exercise more

You do not have to go to the gym or wake up to jog at 5 am every morning. There are simple exercises you can to in the comfort of your room and it does not take more than 5 minutes. Exercise plays an essential role in your physical and mental health.

Drink more water

Again, we all know you are expected to drink several cups of water every day. Many do not. They treat water like an enemy and refuse to drink it. Funny enough, we prefer to drink energy and flavoured drinks that are harmful to our health. Henceforth, make water your friend.

Eat more fruits and vegetables

Fruits and vegetables contain unlimited nutrition that is very good for the body. This is the favour you can do for it.

Quit junk food

You do not need junk food in your life if you are serious about taking care of yourself daily. Healthy food is better. It is very simple eat good food.
