A South African publication recently reported the “fairytale story” of Olajumoke’s rise from grass to grace and the publication referred to the former bread seller as “dirt poor”.

The magazine reported the story thus: “Dirt Poor Bread Seller Jumoke’s Story A Fairy Tale.”

Nigerians rose in the defence of the serene model, blasting the magazine for the insult on Olajumoke Orisaguna.

However, the rising model has come to accept the defence with grace, but also quelled the annoyance of the public on the issue.

Olajumoke simply searched for the meaning of ‘dirt poor’ in the dictionary and explained to the public that the statement was not exactly an insult, but an explanation of her situation before her good fortune happened.

She said: “I appreciate the love and concern, dear friends and family. I put this up to assure you the headline in my previous post meant no harm. It’s just a culture thing, remember it was published in South Africa. God bless you all.”
