Cristiano Ronaldo has announced the birth of twins, hours after he captained Portugal to a semi-final defeat at the hands of Chile in the Confederations Cup in Russia.
It is believed that the footballer’s twins was born to a surrogate mother in the US. However, it was only after the national team were knocked out on penalties by Chile that he confirmed the birth.
Ronaldo went on Facebook with a picture of he and his twins to say:
“I’m very happy, finally, to be with my children for the first time.”
He already has a son, Cristiano Ronaldo junior, who was born in June 2010.
Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, travelled to the US soon after they were born.
Sometime last week, it was rumored that girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez was pregnant with his child.
