“Don’t ask if your dreams are crazy. Ask if they’re crazy enough” with those powerful lines Colin Kaepernick speaks out in Nike’s Dream Crazy commercial.
The two-minute commercial shows a montage of athletes with the former 49er quarterback/social activist using his words to describe the different journeys of athletes.
“If people say your dreams are crazy, if they laugh at what you think you can do, OK, stay that way because what nonbelievers fail to understand is that calling a dream crazy is not an insult. It’s a compliment”
Some of the ad features LeBron James, Serena Williams and Odell Beckham Jr., Rio gold medal-winning wheelchair athlete Megan Blunk, 10-year-old wrestler Isaiah Bird, who was born without legs, an Ironman athlete and Charlie Jabaley, who dropped 120 pounds and overcame a brain tumor.
The ‘Dream Crazy’ is supposed to run on Thursday’s NFL opener between the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons.
