Kun and the gang ran riot at The Bridge in statement win over Chelsea.
The game was a wrap in just 25 mins with Raheem Sterling scoring within the opening 3mins which funny enough took a while in comparison to accomplishments in recent weeks. This was followed by a Sergio Aguero double, the second of which, good enough to grace any game as he picked it up on the edge of the box and launched a rocket into the top corner, leaving Kepa with no chance, but he wasn’t done with them just yet. Ilkay Gundogan grabbed the 4th and at that point the rest of the game was merely a formality.
The Aguero Show continued in second half with the Argentine Assassin grabbing another match ball for his collection with his second hat-trick in 3 games via a composed penalty to make it 5 goals for city on the night and take him level with Premier League great, Alan Shearer with 11 league hat-tricks before Raheem sterling added another to his goal tally, which took the final score to a whopping 6-0.
Pep’ss men go back to the top of pile for the time being, with Liverpool’s game in hand against the Red Devils who we all know will be more than pumped to derail Liverpool’s title aspirations, hold onto your hats, this has got all the makings of an epic title race.
On the flip side, we HAVE to talk about Mauricio Sarri, this is getting very bad. This hefty L comes off the back to 4-0 upset to Eddie Howes Bournemouth and sees both Manchester United and Arsenal overtake his men in the league standings.
For whatever reason it seems like Sarri and the dressing room aren’t on the same page, and if history has taught us anything it’s that Players > Manager at CFC
Sarri out? Let us know below.
