Memphis targets regular playing time at Manchester United

Netherlands international Memphis Depay has revealed that he wants to remain with the Red Devils, despite little to no playing time at Old Trafford.

Since his move in 2015, Memphis has gone downhill and only recorded 2 goals and had no assists in 29 appearances.

Since Jose Mourinho became coach, he has seen fewer opportunities than ever before, though he remains optimistic that his fortunes will change soon as he looks out for his golden opportunity to stun the former Chelsea coach.

“[Jose Mourinho] has faith in me,” the 22-year-old told Dutch publication Metro. “He told me so.

“I feel like a loaded gun but I have to wait for my chance in the first team. I am at my dream club and I want to fight for my place.”

The Red Devils though, have suffered a terrible start to the season, after back to back losses and then a draw last Sunday against Stoke City. They currently sit at 6th place, 5 points behind Manchester City, who are at the top of the table.

Pedro is back at Barcelona

We are happy to report that Pedro is back to Barcelona…to visit is former teammates. That’s right, he is just visiting, while he trains with Spain for their upcoming friendly against Italy.

The former Barcelona star has failed to make an impact at Stamford bridge, since his move in 2015. He wowed in his debut but has failed to impress since then and has struggled to get regular playing time. The irony of that is not lost, as this was the reason why he left Barcelona two seasons ago.

There have been rumors that he would seek a move back to Barcelona but nothing came of it during the transfer window.

Speaking to Barcelona’s official website, here is what Pedro had to say:

“I was looking forward to coming, to see the people I left behind and see how things are going. I always wish them the best and I hope they can stay on top.”

He added on Chelsea: “[I am] enjoying a new and different experience. The team is in good shape in the top half of the table and we are working hard with the coach.”
