The Super Eagles of Nigeria gave good account of themselves against Atletico Madrid in an international friendly match at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Tuesday.
Kelechi Nwakali and Usman Mohammed were on target as the Super Eagles B team lost 3-2 to Atletico Madrid.
Nwakali scored a well-orchestrated screamer past Oblak in the 31st minute before Angel Correa equalized it three minutes later.
As the second half began, the Spaniards pressed on as substitute Fernando Torres put the visitors ahead in the 69th minute before substitute Tosin Omoyele equalized in the 74th minute with an Okocha-like trademark goal.
As the match drew to a close, Borja then powered home an 85th minute winner for Atletico to give the visitors the win in largely packed stadium.
The World-cup bound players cheered the team on from the stands.
