The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be departing the country later today aboard a chartered flight to London as they prepare for Saturday’s international friendly against the Three Lions of England at the Wembley Stadium.
The team took part in a seminar on wealth creation, investment opportunities and portfolio management, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja yesterday afternoon and later met with President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) in the evening as part of a moral booster.
Nigeria will also play the Czech Republic on June 8 before their first Group D game at the Mundial against Croatia on June 16 in Kaliningrad. Nigeria will then tackle Iceland on June 22 in Volgograd before squaring up with Leonel Messi’ Argentina in Saint Petersburg on June 26.
The Super Eagles played out a disappointing 1-1 draw with DR Congo at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
