The Nigerian music industry has evolved rapidly over the years in style, content, genre of music and the quality in video production. As Nigerian music gained more ground, there have been jams that have been neglected and you need to re-download and jam again, and also watch the videos which were very cool at the time released. Here are some songs y’all should check out.

2. Big Brovas – Nu Flow

This group of 6 comprising of 3 women and 3 men, came up with this hit debut single. The Nigerian affiliates of the group were Flawless born Tayo Adisa, and the producer Skillz popularly known as JJC of ‘JJC and the 419’ squad.

3. Jazzman Olofin – Raise da Roof

With his controversial stage name that attracted notoriety, Jazzman Olofin featured Fuji legend Adewale Ayuba on this track which was chart topper and club banger.

4. Baba Dee Ft Tuface & Sound Sultan– Sodi E

In this monster hit, Baba Dee features his brother Sound Sultan, Plantation Boys front man 2face Idibia and Lala. The chorus is absolutely catchy and totally unforgettable.

5. Modenine – Cry

Nigeria’s foremost lyricist on the roll, Mode9 featured Nnenna who did justice to the hook & chorus of the song giving it an emphatic feel. One of the best songs in Nigerian industry and definitely the most underrated.

6. M.I – Crowd mentality

This was the debut and introduction of Jude Abaga into the Nigerian music scene. With his catchy lyrics and ever adjoining rhyme scheme, Crowd Mentality was a crowd favorite.

7. Bigiano – Shayo

This was a ground breaking introduction by Bigiano, announcing himself with this big hit ‘Shayo’. The video production was top notch and made the public anticipate more from Bigiano.

8. Rooftop Mcs – Lagimo

This Christian Hip Hop group collaborated with veteran Nigerian producer Cohbams Asuquo to create a rap/rock gospel track that shattered airwaves.

9.  Morachi – Hapuya lyke dat

This was not only a club banger or chart topper, but the No1 song in Nigeria at its point of release.

10.Big lo – Delicious

This veteran producer and artiste featured his homeboy and former Trybesmen member, 2shotz to create this massive tune.
