Tekashi 6ix9ine will be a free man after a New York judge granted him a compassionate release in light of the coronavirus outbreak. His discharge will be effective immediately.
He will be on supervised release and serve the first four months on home incarceration, which will be enforced by GPS monitoring. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, he will have to stay at his residence unless he asks permission from the probation department to seek medical treatment or talk with his attorney.
6ix9ine was initially slated to be released from jail this July.
Last week, Judge Engelmayer denied 6ix9ine’s initial request for home confinement. “The Court is constrained to deny Mr. Hernandez’s request,”. Having canvassed potential sources of legal authority, the Court concludes that it lacks the legal authority to thus modify his sentence.”
Do you think 6ix9ine is still capable of becoming a star? Guess we’ll find out.
