Tekashi 6ix9ine took the stand in a New York City courtroom, where he testified against alleged Nine Trey Gangsta Blood members Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack.
Prosecutors believe Ellison kidnapped and robbed 6ix9ine last July. The defense claims the kidnapping was staged and compared it to the infamous Jussie Smollett case.
DJ Akademiks confirmed the rainbow colour-haired artist was on the stand via social media, and content of his testimony was shared by a reporter, Matthew Russell Lee of SDNY inside the court room.
“Breaking: Tekashi 69 is in court testifying as we speak against his kidnappers,” Ak wrote.
Ellison and Mack were indicted as part of the federal racketeering case that led to 6ix9ine’s arrest last year. Both men were also charged with firearms offenses.
Earlier this month, 6ix9ine’s ex-manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of firearm possession during a crime and one count of firearm discharge during a crime.
He was one of the accused Nine Trey members arrested on federal charges last November.
