A lot of buzz and publicity went ahead of the 2018 edition of the Ikeja City Mall Fashion/Fusion Catwalk show held over the weekend and when the event finally held, it was true to its buzz.
Amidst sass, style and utmost creativity were showcased, as fashion designers represented fashion brands and labels to utmost satisfaction.
Onno, Levi’s, Woodin, Mobos, Twice as Nice, Mango, MrP, Ruff n Tumble are some of the brands that showcased their offerings to cheers and applause from the teeming audience.
Repping Woodin were Jahda – for menswear – and Jane Michael – for womenswear and both designers brought on their A-game.
In unparalleled, never-before- seen designs that seemed to beat every other one at the occasion, the two designers owned the night.
With a one-armed agbada that he coined from scratch, next fashioned into his tops, colour combination, and even military style designs, Jahda’s models walked the runway to rounds of applause and cheers.
In an interview with media outlets, Jahda says he coined each of those designs himself after Woodin partnered him to showcase their fabric at the Catwalk show.
Jahda said he had coined the one-armed agbada long before it became a trend, making him feel like a trail blazer that even top Nigerian designers are imitating.
