In light of the controversial HBO’s ‘Leaving Neverland’ documentary, The producers of The Simpsons have decided they are pulling the 1991 ‘Stark Raving Dad’ episode featuring Michael Jackson from the long-running series’ rotation.
“It feels clearly the only choice to make,” executive producer James L. Brooks said. He also said he told his fellow executive producers Matt Groening and Al Jean and they agreed with the decision.
“Leaving Neverland” chronicles allegations of sexual abuse made by Wade Robson and James Safechuck. Michael Jackson, who died in 2009, was accused in 1993 of sexually molesting a boy and charged with seven counts of child molestation for allegations related to another boy in 2003.
