Skill is important in football. So is speed. There are some players who are very fastest and you can bank on them to get the ball as it runs towards the touchline. Having an incredible pace can help players play at a higher level than they probably would have otherwise. French publication Le Figaro has shared the top 10 fastest footballers in the world right now.

1.) Kylian Mbappe – 36 km/h

You won’t be surprised to discover that Kylian Mbappe is the fastest footballer in the world. The PSG superstar is pretty good with the ball at his feet too! But to throw shade on his incredible 36 km/h, the fastest man in the world – Bolt – reached 44.72 km/h when running his world record 9.58-second 100m in 2009 – although he did average 37.58 km/h.

2.) Inaki Williams – 35.7km/hInaki Williams

The Athletic Bilbao forward is rapid. He’s proved he’s more than just goals in recent years and has even attracted the attention of Manchester United.
