For the last decade there’s been an upsurge in the number of luxurious restaurants and cafés in Lagos. It’s gotten to the point where at least every two months there’s a new hot spot in town. Of course, were not complaining, in fact we welcome the new cuisines to our palates.
However, the new and increasingly popular trend that has really caught our eye are the healthy spots hidden all over the island. When you find one its like discovering a treasure chest that’ll become your go to spot for all things quick and healthy. So, to make things easier we’ve compiled a list of our favourite spots below. Located in both Lekki and Ikoyi, Nuli has been favourite of ours for the last year for an early morning stop. They are mainly known for their diverse array of sweet and healthy juices such as their ‘Spice root’ and ‘Green zest’. Despite this they also serve a healthy assortment of sandwiches, soups, fresh salad bowls and smoothies.

2. Simply green juices
Located in Victoria island on the ground floor at mega plaza, simply green is another well-known juice café, but like Nuli they offer more than their sweet liquids. They’re known for their organic products and their dedication to mainly sourcing from organic farms. With this in mind their cold pressed juices, sandwiches, and salads are always high quality.

3. So fresh (Ikoyi and Lekki)
Some of the best aspects of So fresh is how many delicious options there are that are tailored to the Nigerian palate. They make our fit fam journey easier by giving us the option of a meal plan. You fill out an online form on their website of what your goals are, and they help put a meal plan together for delivery to your doorstep. Enjoy yourselves with an assortment of wraps and parfaits and salads. With so many locations all over Lagos it will be simple to stop by and pick up.

4. Green grill house
Green grill house is another fave with its many options such as quinoa and whole wheat pasta. This healthy food café has diverse options such as their delicious grilled chicken, granola bowls and more.

5. Veggie Victory
Now this place is quite different from the rest as it is Nigeria’s first vegan/ vegetarian restaurant. With this mind their primary meals include being creative with their greens and veggies. They also have alternative Nigerian cuisine such as mushroom suya or veg suya. The vegan /vegetarian community is growing and its great that places like these are popping up to satiate this movement.
