Tory Lanez will be dropped from Kehlani’s Deluxe version of ‘It Was Good Until It Wasn’t’ with his verse on ‘Can I’ being cut out, while he would also not be in the video for the song, which is set for release tomorrow.
Kehlani and Megan Thee Stallion are close pals, with Kehlani expressing her love on Megan on several occasions, and featuring on Meg’s song ‘Hit My Phone’. Megan returned the feature favor and appeared on Kehlani’s ‘Real Hot Girl Skit’. So the cutting off Tory, isn’t a surprise.
Since the shooting incident involving Tory Lanez and Megan, things have been pretty messed up for Tory. The details of the shooting haven’t been revealed, Tory was however arrested on gun charge but hasn’t been named as a suspect. Along with the rumors rumors that he shot Megan, things aren’t exactly looking rosy for the Canadian rapper.
“Full transparency cuz i believe in that with my following, his verse is still on the song, the video is solo. new verse on the deluxe,” she tweeted. “The album came out months ago i can’t remove it, doesn’t work like that. can only move forward.”
Nobody but Megan and Tory really knows what happened that night, but Kehlani’s decision to remove Tory’s verse from the deluxe album and not feature him in the video is understandably an attempt to distance herself from the controversial artiste and support her friend.
