Twitter is preparing to make significant changes. As part of its mission to increase “friendliness,” and ‘promote the health of conversations’. The new prototype app, called “twttr”, is Twitter, but designed to hide engagement counts such as retweets and likes. It has also removed the heart icon, the retweet icon, as well as the reply button.

This is CEO’s Jack Dorsey’s year-long emphasis on what he calls civility. Among the other changes being weighed by Twitter is an update that would allow users to swipe directly into the timeline and into the app’s camera function. Users could then customize multimedia tweets with colored text and location-generated hashtags in the same screen.
