Nigeria’s Olympic Eagles have qualified for the 2019 CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations after they dispatched their Sudanese counterparts 5-0 at Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba yesterday.

Ndifreke Effiong netted a brace, while Taiwo Awoniyi, Sunday Faleye and Sunusi Ibrahim netted one each as Nigeria cruised to a comfortable 5-0 win in Asaba.

The Imama Amapakabo led team won the tie on a 5-1 aggregate after they lost the first leg 1-0 in Sudan.

With this win, Nigeria thus qualifies for the 2019 CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations slated for Cairo, Egypt, in November.
