UEFA has opened investigations into an alleged racist chant by Chelsea fans in their Europa League game against MOL Vidi on December 13th.
A vocal minority chanted offensive songs about Tottenham fans during the course of the game which ended 2-2.
Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck had condemned the actions taken by some sections of the fans and suggested that the club may in future take offenders to visit the site of Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz rather than ban them.
The club recently started a “Say No to Anti-Semitism scheme” in January which provides one-to-one education courses.
On conclusion of the investigation, Chelsea might be forced to play their remaining group matches under closed doors.
