Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has been sidelined for up to six months after suffering anterior ligament injury in Sunday’s friendly against Brazil.
The 20-year old sustained the injury in the 62nd minute of the game after landing awkwardly in his attempt to save a goal-bound cross.
His club, Omonia Nicosia, revealed in a statement that Uzoho could be out for up to six months as a result of the setback.
He will now miss Nigeria’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Benin and Lesotho next month.
