Valentines is over but that doesn’t mean you still can’t pamper yourself with enjoyment all on your own. Every year too many of us singles are unwillingly subjected to the images of lovers doing whatever lovers do in their spare time. I mean we love the discounts on cakes and chocolates but there’s always so much pressure that comes along with Valentines day (especially with singles). In honour of the trend last weekend, #valentinewithnobody we’ve gathered a bunch of ways the singular folk can express how much they love themselves.

Take yourself out on a date

Put on your sexiest outfit and take yourself for a little outing. You have all the freedom to pick your choices. You get to pick the venue, the vibe and the details so indulge in an activity that is good for your soul and will bring you the highest amount of joy.

Spoil yourself

Always indulge in the good things in life. Obviously not too much but just things that create passion and excitement in your life. Go read that novel you’ve been planning on or take a walk with nature or buy that chocolate cake you’ve been craving. Anything to consistently function at your best and flood you with good energy.

Create a positive mantra

I can never say this enough but positive words of affirmation can really take you a long way. Become mindful of your inner voice and guide it to choose loving messages whenever the negativity starts to creep in. Some empowering mantras are: “I love and accept myself always” or “Self love is my birthright” or “I am valuable.”

Write yourself a love note

As strange as it sounds its not that strange at all when you think about it. I mean we all have journals where we write our thoughts and prayers. This is very similar except you take some time to write down all of the things that you admire about yourself.
