And the stars are back to sing for The POTUS. Lady Gaga sang the National Anthem at the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Following the swearing-in of Harris as vice president, Jennifer Lopez also sang a medley of “This Land Is Your Land” and “America the Beautiful,”
Singing our National Anthem for the American People is my honor. I will sing during a ceremony, a transition, a moment of change—between POTUS 45 and 46. For me, this has great meaning.

“My intention is to acknowledge our past, be healing for our present, and passionate for a future where we work together lovingly,” Gaga tweeted earlier today. “I will sing to the hearts of all people who live on this land.”

John Legend also performed at the President’s ‘Celebrating America’ inauguration event. In usual John Legend fashion, he played a grand piano situated near the Lincoln Memorial, where he sang a rendition of “Feeling Good”—a song made famous by Nina Simone in the 1960s.
