In just three weeks, ART X Lagos will return with the second edition taking place at The Civic Centre in Victoria Island.
ART X Lagos is happening from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th November 2017, and will present the works of over 60 artists from 15 countries across Africa and the Diaspora.
This year, there are four distinct interactive projects curated by A Whitespace Creative Agency (AWCA), designed to engage its vast audience.
The Colouring Bus will feature a piece created by Olalekan Jeyifous, fabricated onto an iconic danfo bus which you are welcome to leave your mark on. Other projects include ART X Portraits, and a Live Art Studio with several emerging artists, as well as our ‘In Conversation With’ series which enables university art students to engage with established Nigerian artists Victor Ehikhamenor and Uche Okpa-Iroha.
Meanwhile, ART X Lagos is introducing a new series, In Conversation With. This is a new series focused on engaging university art students in an intimate conversation with motivational, established Nigerian artists.
On Sunday, 5th November 2017, we will be in conversation with artist Victor Ehikhamenor and photographer Uche Okpa-Iroha. In Conversation With is designed to deepen the students’ understanding of the quickly-evolving world of contemporary art
This week the Art X team also spent time with Polly Alakija, who will be exhibiting as an Independent Artist at ART X Lagos. Watch the interview here.
