Mata dismisses Mourinho fallout rumors

Manchester United star midfielder Juan Mata says there is no bad blood between him and Jose Mourinho from his time at Chelsea.

There were several reports that Mata fell out of favor with Mourinho in 2014, before he secured a move to rival side Manchester United but it appears those reports are baseless as Mata has revealed that there was no fallout at that time.

“My relationship with Mourinho has never been bad,” Mata said. “Many lies were told about me and Mourinho when he arrived at the club this summer. It bothered me that every day I had to read and listen to rumours that were not true. With him I am fine. You read a lot of comments on Facebook and Twitter but they just make you laugh.”

So far, Mata is not having a bad season- he has scored two goals and provided several assists in all competitions.

Guardiola hails Pochettino ahead of Spurs clash

First and second place teams Manchester City and Tottenham Spurs, will be battling it out against each other on Sunday in the English Premier League and we cannot wait!

Pochettino has proved himself to be an outstanding manager as he led the Spurs to finish third last season and looks to be determined to finish at a better spot this time.

The Spurs, like City, have also recorded back to back wins in the English Premier League and while speaking at the pre-match press conference, Guardiola was all praises for the Argentine, as he praised his achievements in recent years.

“I don’t [just] think he’s one of the best managers in England, he’s one of the best football managers in the world,” he said. “I enjoy watching Tottenham. Not [just] right now – since last year.

“I think what he’s doing is an amazing job in London with Tottenham. The way they play I like a lot. He’s aggressive without the ball, has a lot of quality with his players.

“The team is the base of the national team with [Eric] Dier, [Dele] Alli, Harry Kane, [Kyle] Walker. He has a lot of quality. Last season they were there until the last two or three games with the chance to be champions. So still this year they are playing at a high high level. They are second. It will be a tough tough game. I am looking forward to going to White Hart Lane for the first time in my life as well.”
