Dear men, have you heard of Jeff Urban?
Well Akah’s 3 outfits on The Cover offer 3 surefire reasons
why you need to know him.
Jeff Urban is the brain behind menswear brand Jeff Urban Clothing.
I got his details from trusted fashionista/Akah’s shade corner colleague Bayo(of Orange Culture) when I was sourcing outfits for the cover. I reached out to a few names but Jeff was the most receptive plus! When I got to know he had styled Akah for his appearances on the Shade corner???
It was truly Destiny fulfilled.
I looked into Jeff Urban’s vibrant collections and discovered his androgynous line for women too.

Mai Atafo does a good androgynous range but seeing Jeff do his take on androgyny and executing it in these delicious prints…
Honestly, I’m here for all of it!
Jeff is a creative, he can send your heart levels up when he doesn’t respond on time but I learnt quickly to trust that he’s in his zen doing the needful.
Jeff’s pieces pushed me out of my comfort zone and got me ready to take things up a notch and just make The Cover, a movie.
(Let’s serve Bonnie and Clyde, meets Queen and Slim with a hint of On The Run.)
Theme: YOUNG, MARRIED AND FREE
The slpish splash jacket in that rust colour was a must!
The long length made him look regal, like a King (pin) and the brooch from Jewel By Tee was the perfect finish.
A closer look at the blazer will reveal a hint of suede on the lapels.
And a waist belt for a kimono-Esque infusion.
Jeff Urban has a lot more to offer and I cannot wait for the next time we cross paths on a shoot, to see what we come up with!
