You may burn more fat

A 2015 study revealed that people who exercise before breakfast burned more fat as compared to those who did it other times of the day. The body burns fat faster in the fasted state as compared to any other time of the day. It is still unclear why this happens.

Exercising and good quality sleep are linked. When you exercise in the morning, you tend to sleep better at night as your body gets enough time to cool down. When you exercise in the evening, your body stays in a hyperactive phase, making it harder to fall asleep.

Research shows that strength and endurance are the greatest in the morning, which make it easier to workout more efficiently.  Your heart rate spikes up faster in the morning as compared to any other time of the day.

Morning workouts keep you alert, by decreasing the level of cortisol in your body. You might be able to do work better if you exercise first thing in the morning. Though cortisol helps control blood sugar levels, regulate metabolism, reduce inflammation, and assists with memory formulation, too much of it leads to rapid weight gain, high blood pressure, muscle weakness and mood swings, which show as anxiety, depression or irritability.
