We all must eat fruits as a part of our daily diet intake because they are full of vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients for our body. They also reduce the risk of strokes, diabetes, and cancer. A person who consumes fruits daily has a lower chance of falling sick as compared to others. Causes stomach cramps

Fruits contain a large amount of sugar and yeast and consuming water right after having fruits results in the dilution of stomach acids. This creates an environment where yeast can thrive and results in the production of carbon dioxide and alcohol, which causes gas to build up in the stomach.

Disrupts body Ph level

Consuming water after having fruits especially ones with high water content like watermelon, muskmelon, cucumber, orange and strawberry disturbs the Ph level(the levels of acidity or alkalinity) of the digestive system. This is because fruits that have high water content can upset the pH levels by making your stomach less acidic.

Slows down digestion

Avoid having water after eating fruits because it hinders the absorption and digestion process in the stomach leading to acidity. This is why some people experience uneasiness after consuming fruit. It is recommended that you have water at least an hour after you eat fruits.

Dilutes the gastric juices

You should consume water one hour after eating fruits. This is because having water immediately after meals dilute the gastric juice and the digestive enzymes that are needed for digestion. Dilution of gastric juice results in the lesser secretion of digestive enzymes that in turn could cause heartburn and acidity.

Raises the blood sugar levels of the body

Drinking water after consuming fruit slows down the digestion process, which in turn leaves a lot of undigested food behind in the system. This gets converted to fat and causes a surge in insulin, which in turn can raise the blood sugar levels of the body and could later lead to diabetes and obesity.
