Agbadas have been a massive part of the Nigerian and West African culture from the days of our ancestors.
The traditional oversized layered attire is particularly synonymous to the Yoruba regions yet was etched in pop culture by an Igbo celebrity personality,
by name of Ebuka Obi Uchendu
Ebuka is known as one of the most stylish Nigerian men on social media.
His agbada style first became a hit when he stole the show at Banky Wellington’s traditional wedding in 2017.
Since then, his social media profile exploded and pretty soon unbelievable interpretations of the garment became a massive trend online with females joining in on the fun.
Three years later, NIKE caught the agbada bug and designed a unique rendition of the look
and who better to wear it than our very own comedy queen, Yvonne Orji?
The Nigerian native showcased to her 962,000 followers a super cute cropped hairstyle in addition to this green and white Independence Day inspired agbada
