Three-time Champions League winning Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has decided to leave the club he has served as both player and coach for over 10 years.

The Frenchman announced at a press conference today at the Bernabeu that he will be stepping down as coach with immediate effect few days after he guided Real Madrid to a third successive Champions league title.

The 45-year old became one of the only three coaches to lift the European Cup or the Champions league thrice in succession alongside Bob Paisley and Carlo Ancelotti.

His record as coach of Real Madrid included 104 wins in 149 matches with 3 Champions league titles, 2 FIFA Club World Cup titles, 2 UEFA Super Cups, 1 La Liga and Spanish Supercopa.
